[The investigation occurs and ends. The campers are left to make sense of what they learned. It's at this time that Mitsuru strides off on his own, staff ever in hand.

He glances over when approached, however; alert.]

[ Boa is still shaky on his legs, paler than he should be now that the illness has faded away. Yet, he tries to seem composed, unwilling to display more weakness than he already has today. He values Mitsuru as someone who's level-headed, so he doesn't want Mitsuru to think anything less of him either. ]

We found Soma's body earlier, did you hear?

Ah... Yes. It looked like Sakasaki investigated it thoroughly.

[Considering he showed up covered in blood and all that. Mitsuru is continuing to look completely unbothered by this.]

.... yes, he was quite... energetic about it.

[ Boa pulls a face at the memory, though he tries to pass it off as something that bothers him about Natsume and not. the fatal skull wound. ]

They found some sort of seed, I gather?

[Rock... seed... thing.]

He seemed to get an idea for it when he saw the pastor's body.

[finalguard]

It looked like a rock.

[ Boa shudders at the memory. He still feels unsteady on his legs after seeing so much brain. ]

But it had molded itself into Soma's brain somehow... so yes, seed might be accurate.

...The pastor was mostly stone, too. But there was still some flesh remaining.

[Suspicious.]

Still...?

You think he wasn't originally stone, then.

[ Stone with... fleshy bits. After all they've heard out here, a natural-born flesh-stone man doesn't seem weird anymore. ]

I cast a spell to see if he was a golem, but...

He wasn't.

There really is a spell for everything, huh...?

[ Which is kind of besides the point, but magic is still a new world to Boa and it seems to have endless uses that he should probably learn something about. ]

[He purses his lips.]

Not everything.

Golem just sounds really specific.

For me, anyway. My world has none of that.

My original world didn't, either.

[finalguard]

Huh?

[ That totally throws Boa off. ]

You traveled worlds before?

That's right. I'm from earth, but I was in the world of Vision before I came here.

[finalguard]

... that means you learned all this magic without growing up with it.

[ WHOA?? Worlds open up in front of Boa. And some more admiration too. ]

[A nod.]

The people there are often eager to help Travelers on their way. Once they confirmed I was who I said I was, I was able to study magic from an acclaimed academy to my heart's content.

[And so he'd proceeded to read his way through the entire library. This is, surprisingly, not even the only library he read his way through in that world.]

Who you said you were?

[ That sounds like some kind of birthright privilege. Which would be oddly disappointing to Boa somehow. Or maybe just news of his talents preceding him? Hm. ]

A Traveler. Someone from the real world who earned the right to Journey through the world of Vision to meet with the Goddess herself.

[Even Wayfinder Lau couldn't stop singing his praises when he completed his test.]

[ Oh... That's an easier solution than what Boa just came up with in his head, but not a bad one. Grasping the concepts of other worlds is hard. ]

Do you think your world travel knowledge is going to do us any good in leaving here eventually?

...It's not very likely. [Unfortunate as that is.] The Traveler's Journey is a very specific goal. I've learned many spells for the purpose of that Journey, but...

This situation isn't exactly locating gemstones and battling whatever beast happens to be in possession of it.

... mhm, that makes sense.

[ Discouraging as always, what else would you expect from camp. ]

I should probably go back to our cabin and check on Talcott. He's poisoned himself. I just wanted to make sure you're up to date.

[ Boa just makes a face. Talcott's an idiot, okay. ]
