[It's a shared apartment, just like the rest; in many ways it's almost kind of funny how he's still here with Lenka and Marisa, the other survivors of their cabin, marked by eyes that resemble animals' until (unless?) they decide to swap into new bodies like new clothes.
The room itself is an upgrade, though. The apartment may be shared, but the room is his, and for a moment when he woke up in it he couldn't help but think back to how he might have reacted when he was younger, more innocent. An apartment shared with other kids, a springy bed and life as a secret agent, assigned all kinds of crazy, fantastical missions?
A younger him would have died almost immediately, and horrifically, he's sure. But he would have been excited up until then.]
Somehow, I'm still sharing it with the same people. [But there's a wry grin with the words. He doesn't really mind them - Lenka's been there for him the whole time, wanted or not, and Marisa's clever.]
Even though I knew what the end goal would be, it's almost hard to believe... [That they're sitting together now, in an apartment with people who were strangers two months ago, agents of the very organization that forced them into all of this to begin with.
And then, a frown:]
I got so used to it, I keep surprising myself when I wake up here instead. It's... weird. [Inevitable, the impact it had, and will continue to have. But still something difficult to come to terms with, in many ways.]
